Last night I watched an early screening of…
WHAT’S THE MOVIE ABOUT…
Zoe and Tim are this couple…who live a pretty fun, “unstructured” life. Zoe finds out she’s pregnant within 3 minutes of the movie and goes into panic mode. Instead of embracing the pregnancy…she runs from it…she pretty much tries to do everything in her power not to become a mom…see…she really likes simple, cool life. Plus….she has a competition to enter. (just watch the movie!) 😜
Once Tim finds out…well…he’s the total opposite and goes into super dad mode (What I did when I had my boys). Right away, Tim can see Zoe’s not feeling the whole “having a baby” thing and continues to do” what she wants, when she wants”. All the stress leads to them questioning their relationship and parenthood. (just watch the movie!)😜
WHAT DID I THINK OF THE MOVIE…
First, let me start off by saying the movie’s directed by a Curtis Vowell.
DUDE. DID. GREAT!
I’m pretty sure y’all could already tell by my slight hints…that BABY DONE is totally worth the watch. I really, really, liked it.
Don’t watch the trailer though…I think it shows a lot (I just watched the whole thing)…SEE…a couple of weeks ago…I only watched the first :38 seconds before accepting the screener link. That’s all I needed. 😃 I had a feeling it was going to be good and I was right!
Now…if you already have watched the trailer and think, “Oh this is some sappy, love comedy.” It’s NOT. It kind of reminded me of KNOCKED UP but just not as raunchy. 😂 JUST WATCH IT.
The cast was freaking great!! Zoe, played by Rose Matafeo was awesome. I’m not going to lie though…I wanted to karate chop her a few times….but I get it…she was going through some stuff. 😀 Tim, played by Matthew Lewis was great. They really had great chemistry. The rest of the cast who I don’t know….they were hilarious and dope.
It’s a really good movie y’all. There are so many characters you’re gonna like. The dog, tree helper, best friend, the principal, Zoe’s parents…so many. 😂 Oh and make sure you watch AFTER the credits. 😎
BABY DONE hits select theaters and on demand Friday, January 22….so if you’re looking to laugh, plan on having a kid or have kids…check out movie!
