I brought it back people…”MIKE AND MOM AT THE MOVIES!”…people from time to time would ask me, “Mike…where’s your mom been?”…so here we are. Every Friday…we’ll watch a movie…and sit and talk about it. I just love her. (lol)

Have you checked it out? What did you think?

Your mom is hilarious! I don’t blame her for falling asleep. The movie is 2 hours long, but I loved this movie. The cinematography in the opening sequence was breathtaking. (I want to live next to that lake!) This is a prequel but not necessarily an immediate prequel to the original ‘Alien’. I’ve been reading comments by other people who criticize this movie for not answering all their questions about the aliens, creators of human life on Earth, and the tie-ins to the original. The man (director Ridley Scott) is giving movie goers something to think about after the credits roll. He’s assuming that we have brains to process the info he has presented and allowing us to come to our own conclusions (at least until the next ‘prequel sequel’ comes out). So, if you’re still awake for the ending, you can see the set up for a sequel. I, for one, can’t wait!!

I saw it in 3D and kept taking my glasses off to see if I was missing something. The 3D was wasted I felt. But the movie in general is good. Charlize Theron was as much of an ice queen as she was in Snow White & The Huntsman! Was she an android or was she real? Good question… Who was really the “Engineers” that brought life to Earth? Did they plan on going back to destroy it? What stopped them?  I agree with Mike… 4 popcorns out of 5.
