This was a good movie. I was impressed with Channing Tatum…as soon as I saw the trailer…I was like, “This looks tight and with Billy Elliot in it (some of ya’ll will get it)…if I watch this…I should be a happy camper” But somewhere in my mind I was thinking, “Will Channing pull it off?”…and he did.

THE EAGLE is about a story…of the 9th Legion…men go out into the wilderness…men never come back. The 9th Legion had a leader…this leader’s son grows up (Channing Tatum) joins the military and decides to follow in his footsteps. But you need to know something – since there’s no trace of the 9th Legion…the prized Golden Eagle is lost as well…which symbolizes ROME.  See…Channing Tatum’s character pretty much has this black cloud over his head…sucks to be him in the beginning of the movie. Well, while he’s leading his first command – they are attacked and he’s seriously injured…what does that mean? He’s forced to retire. I think days, maybe even months go by…and he hears of a rumor…that the Golden Eagle has been scene…he tries to get the Roman empire to help but their like, “Hell nawwww…we ain’t sending our army out there!” So he decides that he and his slave will do it…and they start on their adventure.

THE EAGLE is a dope flick…worth checking out…even if it’s PG13…yes, I said it. PG13. There some dope fight scenes and the acting is spot on.
