The new 3D stop-motion comedy thriller from animation company LAIKA, reteaming the company with Focus Features after the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated “Coraline.” “ParaNorman” is, following “Coraline,” the company’s second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D. In “ParaNorman,” a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he’ll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

THIS MOVIE WAS FREAKING GREAT! I should’ve watched this one in 3D at the theater. “DAMN YOU MIKE!!” If you haven’t seen PARANORMAN yet – do it. Great movie for the entire family. It’s even got ZOMBIES in it (lol) and who doesn’t love zombies. GUYS…there’s even ‘booty’ in it. (lol) Watch and see what I’m talking about. (lol) But on the real…great story, great characters, great meaning – it’s got everything great!!

I give PARANORMAN… 5 out of 5 popcorns!

“REC 4: Apocalypse” – Official Teaser Trailer

Angela Vidal the young television reporter who entered the building with the fireman, manages to make it out alive. But what the soldiers don’t know is that she carries the seed of the strange infection.

[REC] 4 Apocalypse is directed by Spanish horror filmmaker Jaume Balagueró, who co-wrote & co-directed the original films [REC] and [REC] 2 before breaking out to make the horror Sleep Tight on his own. He’s now returning to the franchise to finish the story, along with producer Julio Fernández. [REC] was made by Balagueró and Paco Plaza.

The Walking Dead fans are about to get one step closer to experiencing the zombie apocalypse first-hand: Next week AMC kicks off Zombie Apocalypse Week, airing each episode of The Walking Dead to date every night in primetime. It all begins Mon., Mar. 25 with the series premiere, “Days Gone Bye” at 8/7c. Throughout the week, episodes from Seasons 1 and 2 will air in order, followed by a Season 3 marathon on Sat., Mar. 30 at 8/7c that leads up to the Season 3 Finale, “Welcome to the Tombs” on Sun., Mar. 31 at 9/8c. Lock the doors, close the windows and stockpile your survival gear. Next week, AMC’s Zombie Apocalypse hits home.

Last May, we first reported that BBC was developing a new zombie series. Titled In The Flesh, we now have the first trailer for you to watch. The story was developed by Dominic Mitchell and is a three-part limited series where treated zombies are rehabilitated back into society:

“His script begins after the Zombie Uprising has been quelled by the Human Volunteer Force and life is starting to return to normal. Any surviving zombies have been captured, medicated, held in an NHS holding facility in Norfolk and are being slowly re-integrated back into society, with the help of contact lenses and cover up mousse. The story follows teenager Kieran Walker and boldly goes where no zombie drama has gone before.”

The heart of a zombie is they key in “Warm Bodies” puts a twist in the zombie genre. A zombie action romantic comedy that doesn’t just step on the line of zombies as we know them but tramples on it on its revolutionarily amazing zombie live story.

R, played by Nicholas Hoult, portrays a zombie that is just not going to settle for being a zombie. Not only that, but he falls in love with his food, Julie played by the lovely Teresa Palmer. Palmer plays Julie terrifically as she has a sense of fear and intrigue when coming into contact with R. Her progression through the film is steady and subtle but by the end is well noticed. The acting of Hoult as R is one stellar performance. Having to not just play a zombie but give him a tenderness that attracts Julie and he does it brilliantly. The movement of Hoult is that of a zombie but through emotion filled eyes and brief grunts of audible words an phrases he creates an emotional likable zombie. Palmer is a fantastic match as Julie bringing a fiercer counterpart to R.

The zombies are awesome in the film and this film created a creature even zombies are scared of called”Bonies.” Bonies are what zombies turn into after they have gone to the extreme part of being the living dead. Zombies are kind of the purgatory if things. Not quite dead and not quite living. The scenery is in this post apocalyptic society is really desolate and yet keeps its worldliness about it. The land of “Warm Bodies” just seems lonely. The ending definitely shatters the zombie genre.

I give this a 5 out of 5 Popcorn. There’s action, there’s romance, and there’s zombies with a giant twist. This film is one zombie fanatics can enjoy and get a new perspective on zombies, romance fanatics can enjoy and, and everyone can be entertained by. Definitely a must see movie.

Based on hit AMC show “The Walking Dead” comes a video game which allows a player to dive in to a prequel adventure in “The Walking Dead Survival Instinct” on all major video game counsels. Through stealth or brute force the player maneuvers as Daryl through the walker infested world on their way to Atlanta. Making decisions of which survivors to save and which to let be as well as who goes out on missions and who stays in the safe house.

Rumor has it that the story behind Daryl’s crossbow gets revealed through the game play.

Late 2012 fans saw trailers for the game with much to be desired. But with lack of enthusiasm from fans of the show Principal effects artist Glenn Gamble said the trailer featured old footage and video games evolve through out the creation process. The first real look at the game has been revealed and still shows a very rough game that visually does not match games to date. Only a strong storyline can make up for the lacking graphics. The game follows Daryl and Merle Dixon who will be voiced by the shows Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker.

Just how much will be revealed through the storyline of the game?

“The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct” has a release date of March 29, 2013. For all those Walking Dead fans looking forward to this game I’m sure will enjoy it.

But whatever…RICK’S GOT THIS! I do like the tagline though…something wicked is coming our way…I can feel it!!

After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

I’m excited for this one. From the people I’ve spoken with…who have seen it…say it’s a really good movie. NOT exactly THE WALKING DEAD zombies, huh? (lol)

Veteran actor Scott Wilson, who plays Hershel Greene on AMC’s The Walking Dead, explains how his beard helps shape the character and describes losing a limb on-screen.

Q: When you found out that Hershel was going to get bitten by a walker in the first episode, were you worried that was going to be it for him?

A: When Glen (Mazzara) told me they were going to chop my leg off, of course my first thought was, “Oh, there I go!” But just the opposite: He said he wanted someone with a disability and I understand that. When you look at the veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan that have lost limbs, it makes sense that someone would have that as an issue. It’s also very interesting that Hershel was the first one to have survived a bite. The question I think for Hershel is whether he is going to become a liability for the group. Is he going to be able to carry his load?

Q: What kind of prosthetic did Greg Nicotero fashion for the scene?

A: They did a cast of my leg, Greg Nicotero and his group, and that’s the leg you see a part of after they chop it off in Episode 1. It’s a pretty brutal scene; I got some responses from people who were really taken aback by it!

Q: How do you think this disability will change the character — and your portrayal of him?

A: He needs to show that he is combat ready and that he can contribute. His age and his life experience helps a bit. But I’m hoping right now that sometimes he’ll have a prosthetic.

Q: Hershel’s got a lot more hair this year. Whose idea was it to make him look so unkempt?
