The new 3D stop-motion comedy thriller from animation company LAIKA, reteaming the company with Focus Features after the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated “Coraline.” “ParaNorman” is, following “Coraline,” the company’s second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D. In “ParaNorman,” a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he’ll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

THIS MOVIE WAS FREAKING GREAT! I should’ve watched this one in 3D at the theater. “DAMN YOU MIKE!!” If you haven’t seen PARANORMAN yet – do it. Great movie for the entire family. It’s even got ZOMBIES in it (lol) and who doesn’t love zombies. GUYS…there’s even ‘booty’ in it. (lol) Watch and see what I’m talking about. (lol) But on the real…great story, great characters, great meaning – it’s got everything great!!

1982 was a great year for movies. I don’t know how many times I watched this one as a kid. CAT PEOPLE stars the super cool Malcolm McDowell and the beautiful Nastassia Kinski. For the 80′s – it’s a simple movie. It’s got blood, thrills, and even sex. BE PREPARED FOR THE SEX THOUGH…crazy animal sex. Literally. (lol) While watching it recently – it was funny to see that the dude who wants Nastassia Kinski – is the dad from HOME ALONE. I don’t know – I thought that was funny. (lol) Oh – and lets not forget about the main song of the film – sung by Davie Bowie himself. OH yeah. 80’s rule! If you decide to watch it – you’ll see why I liked it so much as a kid. (lol)

Not going to lie – when I first saw this trailer I was like, “Nope. Don’t wanna see it. I’m not feeling Eddie Murphy’s role in this one.” Then it came to theater – STILL didn’t see it – came to DVD…STILL didn’t see it – then it came to Netflix…sooooooo I gave it a chance. Final verdict…

I liked it. Great cast. It was like OCEAN’S ELEVEN but without the cool stuff. TOWER HEIST had great comedic performances from everyone. It was good to see Ben Stiller in more of a serious role. (lol) Eddie Murphy – - he ended up being cool. (lol)

I give TOWER HEIST… 3 out of 5 popcorns!

NOW…when HOUSE AT THE END OF STREET came out in theaters – quite a few people told me it was wack..but for ME…I liked it…even my wife liked it and that’s saying a lot since she’s not a ‘movie person’ like myself. (lol)

HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET stars two of my favorite gals – Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Lawrence. They play mom and daughter and do it quite nicely. My eyes enjoyed watching BOTH of them on my TV. (lol) Don’t worry ladies – the movie has some eye candy for ya as well – they give you Max Thieriot, ya know – from MY SOUL TO TAKE and the A&E show BATE’S MOTEL. He plays the secret, damaged dude of the town. The boy has issues. (lol)

HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET definitely has action and thrills – - with some crazy twists. Even I didn’t catch it and I liked that. What you see in the trailer is not exactly how it seems. That’s why my wife liked this one – she thought it was actually believable – that this crazy stuff COULD happen. I think it’s worth the watch.

Eddie Murphy is Jack McCall, a fast-talking literary agent, who can close any deal, any time, any way. He has set his sights on New Age guru Dr. Sinja (Cliff Curtis) for his own selfish purposes. But Dr. Sinja is on to him, and Jack’s life comes unglued after a magical Bodhi tree mysteriously appears in his backyard. With every word Jack speaks, a leaf falls from the tree and he realizes that when the last leaf falls, both he and the tree are toast. Words have never failed Jack McCall, but now he’s got to stop talking and conjure up some outrageous ways to communicate or he’s a goner.

A THOUSAND WORDS…I had this movie on my DVR for the longest time and I finally decided to watch it. Now, I’m a huge fan of Eddie Murphy…the OLD Eddie Murphy movies though…oh and SHREK. I wasn’t sure how this PG-13 Eddie would be and I gotta say. I liked this one. Cool little story – it’s got comedy AND…you get to see the sexy, HOT Kerry Washington in a sexy, HOT outfit. That right there should make ya wanna see it – - AHHH…if you’re into that kind of stuff. (lol)

All kidding aside – there’s a moral at the end of this comedy.

I loved this documentary. FAT, SICK & NEARLY DEAD is a must see!! The documentary is about Joe Cross…he stars & directs this film- he’s a super wealthy dude with a problem. BEING OVERWIGHT. So he decides to by a juicer and change his life. You pretty much watch his journey PLUS along the way – he helps other people.

Not going to lie – after watching the film – I dusted off my juicer and started JUICING. I juiced so much that I bought a better juicer and I’m STILL juicing!! Just watch it. It’s just 97 minutes…you can handle that. I’m about juice something right now. (lol)

(lol) Michael Rooker stars in this one – ya know…from THE WALKING DEAD – I’m guessing that’s why she picked it. (lol) – Well…NO ZOMBIES IN THIS ONE. (lol)

Yeah people…this one’s pretty blahh. Actually…from the start to the middle of the movie – - it’s not THAT bad. We see that there’s some weird stuff going on under the ice – - some people get attacked – - there’s blood…THEN…the ending happens. We the viewers…finally see the creature. HOLY CRAP BALLS.

Whyyyyy?!?!?  

They should’ve left it a mystery. (lol)

SKYFALL…wait…before I got into the review…let me start off by saying… “I bet it’s really cool being Daniel Craig.” (lol)

Ok – now that I got that out of the way – lets talk about SKYFALL…the latest 007 flick. I liked it. I liked it a lot. This movie had some serious action. Now – I’m still a Roger Moore 007 fan…but Daniel Craig. He’s a beast. If you haven’t seen this one – it’s worth the watch. Oh…and Javier Bardem as a villain…HOLY CRAP BALLS. He was intense. Scary and creepy but cool all wrapped in one. (lol)

Oh – and for those of you who have seen it – - was it just me – - or did they not really show off the Bond ‘girl’ that much? Ahhhh I don’t know. (lol)

RISE OF THE GUARDIANS…is a MUST SEE movie people. If you haven’t made the time to watch it yet – - what are you waiting for?! It’s a GREAT movie. Defiantly one of favorites. While watching it – - I was kicking myself in the a$$ for not watching it in the theater – in 3D!! Visually on my TV was great – I could only imagine on the big screen.

RISE OF THE GUARDIANS has a great story with great characters…and these great characters were led by great ‘voice power.’ Chris Pine as Jack Frost, Alec Baldwin as North (Santa), Hugh Jackman as Bunny (Easter Bunny), Isla Fisher as Tooth (The Tooth Fairy), and Jude Law as Pitch (Evil dude). The movie’s got hella action, magic, laughs, and…you just might get teary eyed. (I did)

Soooo…gather everyone together – make some popcorn – and watch the movie!!

I liked this one. It has a cool cast and the special effects were dope. I’m not really sure how the 3D was since I watched it on DVD. Anyone know? (lol) Definitely action packed and worth the watch.

Loud music. Pornography. Burning stuff to the ground. These are a few of Hesher’s favorite things. And they are what Hesher (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) brings into the lives of 13-year-old TJ (Devin Brochu) and his father, Paul (Rainn Wilson) when he unexpectedly takes up residence in their garage uninvited. Told through the eyes of TJ, HESHER is a dark fairy tale about an eccentric unhinged drifter who appears out of nowhere to help a struggling family deal with loss in the most unconventional of ways. TJ is simply going through the motions of his daily life, quietly grieving throughout each day, until Hesher arrives like a force of nature, not stopping for anything in his path. Paul is also so grief-stricken the he can’t muster the strength to evict the strange squatter, and soon the long-haired, tattooed Hesher becomes a fixture in the household. Hesher also befriends TJ’s grandmother (Piper Laurie), who lives with them. She’s extremely lonely as her son and grandson are unable to snap out of their fog. When Hesher arrives and appreciates her cooking and listens to her stories, it’s as though she found a new friend, under very odd circumstances. The only friend TJ really has is Nicole (Natalie Portman), who is a supermarket cashier who comes to TJ’s rescue when he first encounters Hesher. They have an odd relationship that’s based, in part, on TJ’s infatuation with Nicole. Although initially a rather terrifying character, over time Hesher’s anarchy shakes the family out of their grief and helps them embrace life once more.

HESHER. Is a MUST SEE movie. It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt (crazy awesome), Devin Brochu (holy crap balls), Rainn Wilson (do different from The Office), Piper Laurie (made me cry), and Natalie Portman (I just love her!) I would call it a dark comedy. HESHER definitely takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. YES. I cried. There’s some deep stuff in this movie people. Everyone’s performances – on point! Just watch the damn movie.

Jack and Clara’s time together evolves into a romance, one seemingly free of danger. But by stepping out of the shadows, Jack may be tempting fate.

Ahhh yeahhhh…I was disappointed with this one. For me…the trailer was better than the actual movie. I’m a fan of George Clooney and he rawked it…but the movie itself. It just never took off for me and the ending. BLAH. I did like the prostitute though..she was hot. (lol)
