Good stuff here people. Last Friday August 10, 2012…there was in an event in Los Angeles. Singer Noelia and one of my personal friends (might I add badass radio personality/mixer) DJ Laz from SBS Radio donated a check for 20,000 to help the Boys & Girls Club of East Los Angeles. This is awesome!! This money will sooooo help the location and the Latino kids in the community. You thought the check was it? OHHH NOOOOOO…guess who else was there? THE LORAX!! Yep, THE LORAX from Universal Studios Home Entertainment (available now on DVD) – he took pictures with all the little ones!

Big shout outs to DJ Laz…he received several proclamations, including The Mayor’s Office of Los Angeles, A. Villaraigosa, from the hand of Mike Fong, The City of Montebello, The City of Los Angeles, Ray Gonzalez by the Office of the Member of Congress, Mike Thompson, and Ray Gonzalez by the Board of Governors of the B & G Club of East Los Angeles. DAMNNNNN…I wanna be like him when I grow up! (lol)

For 60 years, the Boys & Girls Club has played an integral role in the community of East Los Angeles, offering daily programs and services to more than 2,500 young people a year, more than 300 daily.  The programs emphasize character and the development of leadership, education & career advancement, health & life, the arts, sports & fitness and commitment to the family.
