THE RUNAWAYS takes place in 1975, San Fernando Valley teen Joan Larkin (Stewart) reinvents herself as JOAN JETT. This girl’s on a mission…she wants to start an all-girl band…well, she pitches the idea to this rock n roll manager…he hooks her up with this drummer girl…then two more girls (one is Lita Ford) and NOW he needs a “face” for the band. Along comes Cherie Currie (Fanning) and she’s 15…yep…I said it…15 years old. I know, it’s nuts…1975 was an interesting year. (LOL)

Well, the girls finally make up the band, THE RUNAWAYS. Basically the movie’s about the band…how they get signed and what they go through. It was pretty cool seeing a little Rock n Roll history…it was a man’s world UNTIL they came around. THE RUNAWAYS has sex, drugs, and rock n roll!!! Yeah, I should have seen this one on the BIG SCREEN. I love me some Dakota Fanning…she was HOT in this….even Miss Kristen Stewart rocked it out. Looking for a dope movie to watch at home…check it out!
