Ok people. I checked out HEROES OF THE EAST the other night. I just love kung fu movies…I remember when I was young and every Saturday morning – my dad and I would watch Kung Fu Theater on channel 39! Someone really needs to make a kung fu channel on U-Verse…I’d be a happy camper.

Now for the movie…gonna keep it real. Such a sloooowwwwwwwwww start. There were actually a few times where I thought about stopping it…but I kept going. The movie’s about this Chinese dude who is entered in this arranged marriage with this Japanese chick…at first he doesn’t want it – but when he sees her – he changes his mind. (I’m still trying to figure that one out) – in the beginning – their marriage is pretty cool – - but then she starts bragging that HER style of fighting is better than the Chinese and of course he’s like, “Oh hell naww.” So – they go back and forth…it starts off fun…then feelings get hurt. She leaves and heads back to Japan. He teacher catches wind of the whole thing and decides to CHALLENGE this Chinese dude…but not just HIM…he brings 7 of his homies! Yep – Chinese dude has to fight 8 dudes.

Not fair if you ask me. Ok – FINALLY…this is where it gets good – - – once the fighting starts – HEROES OF THE EAST is worth watching. (LOL) Would I watch it again? Nope. Once is fine enough for me.

I give HEROES OF THE EAST…2 ½ of 5 POPCORNS!
