FRIGHT NIGHT is finally hitting DVD on December 13th…is it worth watching, buying, or renting? I’d say…it’s worth watching…probably renting though…I don’t think I’LL be adding this movie to my DVD collection. I’m a huge fan of the original 1985 version…I had that baby on VHS and watched it over and over.
The new FRIGHT NIGHT…pretty much follows the original story. High School student, Charlie Bewster (Anton Yelchin) is one of the popular kids and dating the hottest chick in school. Charlie seems to have it pretty good. But one day…his mom introduces him to their new neighbor, Jerry (Colin Farrell).
Now…everything seems pretty cool…but weird things start happening around the neighborhood…then his long time best friend Ed (McLovin) breaks the news…WHY ARE WEIRD THINGS HAPPENING? WHY ARE PEOPLE DISAPPEARING?
Jerry’s a vampire. Yep…a freaking, super cool vampire.
Once Charlie starts snooping around – Jerry gets pissed and all hell breaks loose.
FRIGHT NIGHT was tight. It’s got some pretty cool, intense parts with a little comedy. I wasn’t sure how the new Peter Vincent was going to be. BUTTTTT…he gets the job done. Oh, who’s Peter Vincent? Just watch the movie and find out. (LOL)
I give FRIGHT NIGHT… 3 out of 5 POPCORNS!
