When the world’s worst babysitter takes three of the world’s worst kids on an unforgettable overnight adventure through the streets of New York City, it’s anyone’s guess who’s going to make it home in one piece. THE SITTER is a new level of twisted and debauched hilarity from the director of Pineapple Express.”
This was a sooooo a 1987 ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING…but THE SITTER is the dude version. (lol) I mean…chicks can watch this one…but this one’s more my type. (lol) Yeah know something…I don’t think I’ve ever seen the COMPLETE 1987 movie. I know my girlfriend has though! (lol)
Jonah Hill does his thing in this one. This was a Jonah Hill BEFORE he lost the weight. I liked his humor and his whole ‘don’t give a rats ass babysitter attitude.’ The kids he has to babysit are funny…especially the little girl trying to be all ‘Hollywood’ and the little Latin dude who likes to blow stuff up. They were a trip.
For me…it starts off really good…but somewhere in the middle…starts to get cheesy. Like at one point I was thinking to myself, “This is starting to suck.” But then…it picks up. Sam Rockwell’s in it – I didn’t even know until he pops up in the movie as a funny ass drug dealer. It’s a cool comedy and it does have a dope soundtrack – - Google it.
I give THE SITTER… 3 out of 5 POPCORN’S!
