Mike’s Movie Reaction: KILLER THERAPY

So last night after the boys went down for bed…I grabbed the iPad and finally had the chance to check out…

SO WHAT DID I THINK?

I really, really, really liked this movie. See. I’m not going to lie…I was a little extra tired when I climbed into bed and I figured I’d fall asleep…and that it would take me 2-3 days to watch this. šŸ˜‚ (KIDS!)

WRONGGGGGG!! This movie totally sucked me in and kept me awake. šŸ˜‚ Now considering this wasn’t some huge Hollywood budget kind of movie….what they had to make it with…they killed it. (Ha! See what I did there?) I really thought it was a great WTF kind of flick. Once I started it…I actually tweeted, “Just 14 minutes in and yeah…young Brian is serious crazy.”

I thought the cast was great. All the young kids from the beginning of the movie were believable. I’m not sure who the young Brian actor was but yeah – – he had that evil in him….that stare freaked me out.Ā šŸ˜‚ And after he visits that first shrink….MAN! I felt bad for the dude.

Then he grows up (SOMETHING happens and I can’t tell you) – – – and high school Brian isn’t THAT cra cra but yeahhhhhhh…I don’t wanna give anything else away… šŸ˜‚ Just know – – all the “Brian’s” did great.

It was awesome to see some of my favorite old school peeps who happen to be in some of my all time favorite movies!!

Thom Mathews, who plays Brian’s dad – – he was in 1985’s THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD and 1986’s FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI: JASON LIVES.

P.J. Soles, who plays a court shrink I think – – she was in 1976’s CARRIE, 1978’s HALLOWEEN (you can’t forget her), 1979’s ROCK ‘N’ ROLL HIGH SCHOOL and 1981’s STRIPES.

Adrienne King, who plays Brian’s school counselor – – she was in 1980’s FRIDAY THE 13TH and 1981’s FRIDAY THE 13 PART 2.

When the sh** really hits the fan (you can see some in the trailer) – – the movie goes into overdrive and boy does it. I thought the blood and gore delivered. Brian becomes “something” between The Crow and the “Night Stalker” Richard Ramirez and sets out for his revenge…and that was fun. (some in the trailer) …that last scene with Adrienne King and she’s looking out the window…definitely gave me that FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2 vibe when she’s looking outside and Jason’s about to kill her.Ā  šŸ˜‚ Good stuff, yo.

Overall…I really enjoyed KILLER THERAPY and I think it’s totally worth the watch. I give it… 4 1/2 out of 5 POPCORNS!
