In order to be considered for the program, applicants submitted videos, screenplays of their film work and a personal statement about their commitment to their heritage and culture. In addition, the participants will take classes with professors from CSUN and Loyola Law School and meet with important leaders from NALIP, DGA, WGA and Pantelion Films.

The “Tomorrow’s Filmmakers Today” program has been made possible by the East Side Arts Initiative, a grant-making program focused on supporting non-profit visual and performing arts organizations, and fostering collaborations for furthering the arts in the Greater East side, and the collaboration of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México – Los Angeles.
