Romeo Santos performs in the HBO special ” The King Stays King: Sold Out at Madison Square Garden” that includes many amazing Spanish hits and surprises. Great instrumentals accompany Romeo as he performs rhythmic Spanish songs that have the audiences cheering him on. The special includes small segments which show a much more intimate side of Romeo. The content of this special is about an hour and forty of up tempo Latin music.

Sean “Puff Daddy/P.Diddy” Colmes makes a special appearance singing along with Romeo. Romeo teaches P.Diddy dance steps in between both of them taking one side of the stage each to pump up the crowd. More special guest appear to add to the mixture of styles Romeo brings to the Madison Square Garden Stage.  Guest include P.Diddy, User, Wisin & Yandel, to name a few.

Songs performed in “The King Stays King” are from the album “Formula Vol. 1,” which launches Romeo’s solo career. Going to a solo career, after his time with former group Aventura, Romeo takes the stage with force in this HBO special.

I give this special 4 out of 5 popcorns. The Latin sound of “the King of Bachata,” Romeo Santos, is prominent and just as incredible in his solo career as he was with Aventura. The special guest appear as though by surprise to both audience and Romeo as well. The set is wonderfully arranged starting strong and finishing stronger. The music makes audiences away in their seats to the rhythm as well as Romeo entertains while on stage. The interviews with Romeo are intimate and give insight to the mindset of Romeo.

Romeo Santos in “Tge King Stays King: Sold Out at Madison Square Garden” will have a special premier on May 3 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. C, with an encore play on Sunday May 5, Cinco de Mayo, at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. C.

“The Great Gatsby” soundtrack will include various great artist including Grammy award winning musical artist Shawn “Jay Z” Carter. Jay Z, who will also be Executive Producer, collaborated with writer/producer/director Baz Luhrmann on “The Great Gatsby” soundtrack. Jay Z brings a modern “jazz age” sound to the musical score of the film. Leonardo DiCaprio, playing Jay Gatsby, introduced Jay Z to Luhrmann who would collaborate together for two years.

Luhrmann calls the collaboration with JAY Z ” a credible and natural fit. Fitzgerald was a pioneer, famed and controversial for using the then-new and explosive sound called jazz in his novels and short stories—not just as decoration, but to actively tell story using the immediacy of pop culture. He coined the phrase ‘the Jazz Age.’ So, the question for me in approaching Gatsby was how to elicit from our audience the same level of excitement and pop-cultural immediacy toward the world that Fitzgerald did for his audience? And in our age, the energy of jazz is caught in the energy of hip-hop. Not only is JAY Z a great artist, full stop, but I had heard that he was a great collaborator. Leonardo and I were lucky enough to be present in a recording session over two years ago as JAY Z was recording ‘No Church in the Wild,’ and the collaboration grew from there.”

JAY Z said, “As soon as I spoke with Baz and Leonardo, I knew this was the right project.  The Great Gatsby is that classic American story of one’s introduction to extravagance, decadence and illusion. It’s ripe for experimentation and ready to be interpreted with a modern twist.  The imagination Baz brought to ‘Moulin Rouge’ made it a masterpiece, and ‘Romeo + Juliet’s’ score wasn’t just in the background; the music became a character.  This film’s vision and direction has all the makings of an epic experience.”

Academy Award nominee DiCaprio plays Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire plays Nick Carraway; Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan  and Joel Edgerton as Daisy and Tom Buchanan, Isla Fisher and Jason Clarke as Myrtle and George Wilson, newcomer Elizabeth Debicki as Jordan Baker and Indian film legend Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of Meyer Wolfsheim.

So much talent in one film.
