THE NEXT THREE DAYS is about a married couple…who pretty much live a cool, simple, happy life. One day as their having breakfast – the cops bust and arrest the mom (played by Elizabeth banks) for murder. Fast forward three years and dad (played by kick ass Russell Crowe) is pretty much doing everything possible to keep his family together – raise their son and teach at the local college. Then the worst news comes home…the final appeal gets rejected!! Yeah, that means mom’s going to be a permanent resident in prison. It totally sucks for super dad – this who time he hasn’t given up on the girl he loves. He believes she’s innocent and the mom says she’s innocent – but the evidence…well, that doesn’t look too good for mom. Not good at all. As soon as mom realizes that suicide might be the best answer – DAD JUMPS INTO ACTION! This super dad decides to meet with the only guy in the city – who’s escaped from prison like 2-3 times…and says, “Dude – you’re like Houdini, I need to know how you did it.”
Yep, you guessed it. He’s going to attempt to break his wife out of jail before she’s shipped out to prison.
Dad does everything – - maps outs the police routes, gets fake passports, buys a gun, and soon realizes…if he’s stuck in a hard place and has to leave his son behind…for his wife. Could he do it?
THE NEXT THREE DAYS is a pretty dope movie. Russell Crowe does great like always…Elizabeth Banks plays a good jail girl…and OH! Did I mention SEXY Olivia Wilde’s in the moving? Niceee. Plenty of action…plenty of intense situations people. It’s a good thriller flick.
I give THE NEXT THREE DAYS…3 out of 5 Popcorns!
